Wildlife Volunteer Projects
The world’s animals are in need of help, due to deforestation, the illegal wildlife trade for exotic pets, the consumption of wildlife, and worldwide pollution. This all is caused by greed, corruption and lack of education.
The wildlife volunteer projects you find on this website are trying to make a difference, in need of people like you to make this change a successful one!
When you volunteer with our wildlife, you get amazing opportunities to be close to our animals, care for them and provide for them.
Not only do you have amazing experiences with our wildlife, but you help our centers in many different ways.
Full & Half Day Experience Tours
The Full and Half Day tours at WFFT, are designed to allow day trip visitors a chance to learn about the rescued creatures living at the Wildlife Rescue Centre and Elephant Refuge.
The best option to learn about Thailand’s wildlife, its beauty and its problems, is to visit our center and learn everything there is to know about wildlife conservation and animal welfare in Thailand.

People and Animals Thailand (PAT) is the latest volunteering project set up by WFFT to help tackle the problem of stray dogs and cats in Thailand.
A new clinic has opened between Cha Am and Hua Hin providing free neutering and vaccination to street dogs and cats. Using modern techniques and equipment you can gain valuable experience in a high volume neutering surgery in a sterile and well-organised environment. Using minimally invasive techniques and modern anaesthetics, we take and return animals to the streets on the same day. We can guarantee your stay will make a real long-term difference to the problem of street cats and dogs in Thailand.
Our volunteering projects run each week from Sunday to Sunday and we welcome volunteers all year round. The clinic is open from Monday to Friday, meaning that Saturday will be your day off. The clinic is a short distance from the beach and close to the major tourist towns of Hua Hin and Cha Am with plenty of activities to do in your free time. You will arrive at WFFT’s Wildlife Rescue Centre on a Sunday and be given a tour before heading off to the clinic.
The fee for the PAT Clinic is a flat rate of €350 per week. This covers the cost of your accommodation and 3 meals per day, as well as a donation directly towards the running of the clinic. Comfortable accommodation is provided on site with air-conditioned rooms. As we can only accept a maximum of 4 volunteers at the PAT Clinic places are very limited, so we recommend applying a few months in advance.
